A new song! Enjoy “Sore.” Written/recorded today. Right now.
I don’t usually go into what my songs are about because I like the listener to have a clean palette in their mind—letting the song be for them whatever it might need to be. I like that we can take these things we create and share them in imaginative ways and mutually extract different meaning from it.
This song, for me, bears in mind especially the thought of old love. Not like stale love, but like… two elderly people enthralled by each other after years of love or marriage or whatever it might be. Growing up and getting sore is just the human way, but I salivate over that type of love some people are lucky enough to share into old age and long years.
Frickin beautiful.
